Davidson is a charming college town located 20 miles north of Charlotte. Home to Davidson College, a NCAA Division I independent liberal arts college serving more than 1,700 students, Davidson is filled with historic homes and offers a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Many residents are actively involved in civic and community affairs.

Davidson prides itself on being pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly, offering wide sidewalks and prohibiting drive-thrus.
